Cucine(s) Matera # Bread Story

Cucine(s) Matera est le fruit d’une enquête artistique et culinaire à la rencontre des pratiques ancestrales de la fabrication du pain à Matera, dans le quartier de Piccianello. Au fil de moments d’échanges avec les habitants au cœur des maisons matareses, nous avons partagé émotions, impressions, saveurs et mémoire.

Autour de la tablée, de grands portaits photos des habitants protagonistes devenus personnages, sont mis en scène sous forme d’une exposition qui fait dialoguer textes et images à travers une fresque « poético-culinaire ». On y retrouve des gestes qui parlent d’anciennes pratiques, d’ingrédients uniques et riches de saveurs qui nous racontent la transmission entre générations d’une mémoire et d’un savoir-faire, de ces formidables patrimoines de savoirs encore vivants à Matera.

On the 9th of June, Floriane Facchini & Cie performed in Matera European Capital of Culture 2019 with Cucine(s). Cucine(s) is a specif site project investigating culinary memories as a space to unlock relationship, exploring inner self, social structures and relationships as well.
