La rivolta delle Gelsomine e altre storie di lotta e di piante est une pièce performative mêlant ethnobotanique, arts culinaires et danse. Elle explore la cueillette comme un geste profondément politique, jamais neutre, traversé par des tensions entre subsistance, exploitation et résistance.
Entre l’Italie et la France, la pièce fait surgir des récits de femmes qui cueillent, soignent, cultivent et résistent : les gelsominaie siciliennes en grève, les mondine des rizières italiennes, les cueilleuses sardes en lutte contre un radar anti-migrants, ou encore les herboristes françaises qui réactivent des savoirs interdits depuis Vichy.
À travers cette constellation de luttes, les plantes sont transformées, cuisinées et partagées en direct : infusions, distillations et préparations deviennent des actes de mémoire et de résistance. Ce qui est cueilli devient ce qui se transmet, se mange et s’incorpore collectivement.
La pièce fait ainsi de la scène un espace de réactivation des savoirs vivants, où gestes de soin, pratiques culinaires et récits de lutte composent une mémoire collective en mouvement.

La rivolta delle Gelsomine e altre storie di lotta e di piante is a performance piece blending ethnobotany, culinary arts and dance. It explores foraging as a profoundly political act—never neutral—underpinned by tensions between subsistence, exploitation and resistance.
Set between Italy and France, the piece brings to light the stories of women who gather, heal, cultivate and resist: the striking Sicilian jasmine pickers, the rice field workers of Italy, the Sardinian gatherers fighting against an anti-migrant radar, and the French herbalists reviving knowledge banned since the Vichy era.
Through this constellation of struggles, plants are transformed, cooked and shared live: infusions, distillations and preparations become acts of remembrance and resistance. What is gathered becomes what is passed on, eaten and collectively incorporated.
The piece thus turns the stage into a space for the reactivation of living knowledge, where acts of care, culinary practices and stories of struggle compose a collective memory in motion.
